This song was highlighted on our website nearly four years ago but is only more relevant today. The promise of America to be a land of the free was embraced and believed by those who wanted to be free and have freedom for all but denied by those who said it was impossible and those that did not want to be equal without classist definitions and someone to be better than. These are the dreamers that want to awaken to enlightenment versus those that are content to be asleep and prefer not to awaken to a new dream because they have comfort in the old and familiar. American Values have been challenged since inception and Declaration of Independence but are codified in the Constitution. By each state ratifying the Constitution and Bill of Rights and standing behind the Declaration of Independence, we all share a value system and moral code that is not to be corrupted. We are responsible to uphold these original documents if we want the freedoms therein promised. With every right, there is responsibility to uphold that right. The founding fathers of the United States knew they were not perfect and imperfection is inherent in all so they established a three branch governing system that put an Elected Executive in the office of President to reflect the common values of the people of the time, the legislature to manage international and domestic legal code modifications to serve the needs of the People and the Judicial Branch to uphold what is righteous to the intent of the Constitution and to produce and follow legal guidelines adapted through time with legal precedent that uphold Constitutional values. All holders of this authority are bound to the Constitution by sacred oath.
We are facing bold times and bold challenges in word and actions. We must uphold American values as enshrined in the Constitution and supported by all other founding documents or they are lost to time and circumstance. The world has always been ending, salvation lies only in righteous actions of those present in the moment. Know and find your purpose to serve it but never despair because if there is belief in solidarity, there is solidarity, belief in freedom results in freedom and everything is always how it must be to bring forth the next moment. Rise above all that would pull you under and refuse to submit; Resist negativity, push for the positive and believe in unity to bring all together in cause.

Barry McGuire sings an anthem to call us to action to preserve the freedoms that we embrace. Now is not just the time to listen and learn but act with Conscious Reasoned Choice. What he describes in his time did not stay there and follows everyone until it is resolved, one way or another.
